Beautiful Oxford

victorian roofs

Oxford houses are beautiful when you look properly and carefully at the details.

crown house clock

A clock I never notice until I took a picture of it this month! Old and classy looking!

happy trees

On that particular day, the trees seemed as though they were all singing and dancing in harmony. Somehow, I wish humans could be the same too. Maybe, we should learn from nature!

hello daisies

From where I stand amongst the daisies. I know they are weeds, but they are simply too gorgeous not to be admired.

hello home

The snow slowly melting on the rooftops.

pigeon lovers

Adorable love birds, although in actual fact, one of the pigeons kept following the other, while the other pigeon tried so hard to get away from him/her. (not sure)

round and round

Round and round and round we go, so dizzy may we feel, but that's okay, we will go back to staying stable again.

6 trees makes a family

6 makes a family! In this case, it's for these tall trees.

justified

She stands tall and feel justified.

kirei

Kirei in Japanese means beautiful. I was so happy to see more Sakura (cherry blossom) trees at Florence Park, which is one of my most favourite parks to go and has a huge playground for children.

blue skies 2

Such clear sky!

the glee club

No, it is not about singing, but about comedy I think. I have never been there, but I am sure it should be an interesting adventure if I did go.

quack quack

Ducks says: "Hey, Mr Boat person, we need our ride now! Pronto!"

flyaway

A duck says again: "Why ride a boat, when we can FLYYYYYYYYY!!! Whhheeeeee! Quack! Quack!"

hello sun

Hello Sun, sorry I missed the Eclipse.

singing daisies

A meadow full of Daisies and some partially Dandelions inviting themselves over....

bedazzled tree

Whoa! Take a look at this amazement!!! My eyes went from small to BIIIG!

an empty bench

I hardly ever see anyone sitting here. Ever! Could it be it being in the shade of trees, although this would be a perfect spot for those hot, sunny days!

an autumn for spring or spring for summer?

It's nearly Summer, but these trees looks very much like Autumn.

amongst the daisies

And..amongst the Daisies, I spot a pretty Dandelion, that is quite shy, but very brave for standing on its own.

bedazzled trees 2

Another, beautiful colour of leaves..

blue sky

A close up of the clear blue sky...

a shy pigeon

And, a very shy pigeon, hiding in the tree. I hope you have enjoyed admiring these lovely pictures and I know I always go back to them every now and again. I hope you all have an incredible Monday, come rain, come shine, come cold, come warm, come cloudy, come sunny.

Amazement

Lililium Pumilum

Dear Lililium Pumilum,

This time last year, I took this photo of you at the Botanic Garden and you stand tall with amazement. I really wish I had a tree just like you in my back garden, so that I could sit under you and read many books and we'd share a conversation, picnics would be a delight and you'd always make sure I'd be happy too, because you did not need to say much but just show your pure beauty. My garden is however small, so, I guess I will have to visit you once again at the lovely garden you live in when the days are better and recover from this dreadful windiness, and rain.

Yours sincerely,

from me.

Catch ups: creative making

Making while watching singing in the rain

I just realized that if one says "Catch up" really quickly, it would sound something similar to "ketchup"! I only just notice this, but I don't want to bore you with all my word searches :)

Last week, I caught up on a few things. Because of this weather, I knew the chances of going out (unless I am working on the day or school drop-offs and pick-ups) are pretty slim and besides the usual house work, and indoor exercising, catching up on the creative side of things was a brilliant idea!

On Thursday, I decided to finish the rest of my Fimo clay to make them into pretty things.

Alas! I did and all I need to do now is to give them a lovely polish to make them looking all nice and shiny. Then, I will need to start packing them, although some are for giveaway samples! We all love freebies don't we? :)

A rainy week!

Untitled

Today, is a day of reading a book, baking a birthday cake and making things and if I have time, definitely drawing! It is not a day to go out, especially in this very unsettled weather of warm and cold combined.

I really like this framed picture in my living room. It was a present from my lovely boyfriend, who picked it up from TKMaxx. We think it is a reproduction from a vintage style art. So, so cute!

Untitled

I started my day with breakfast and a few cups of Ginger tea, blended with lemon and ginseng, amazing! You can find them from M&S and the packaging is so adorable. The tea goes well with honey. Mmmmmm. Pure bliss.

Untitled

If you have read my previous post, you would recognize the patterns on this book cover. Yes, my daughter and my boyfriend has wonderfully offered to help make my book look all pretty, while I was still wrapping my friend's present that same evening.

So, today, aside from making things, I have decided to spare at least an hour of reading Jane Austen's works! I have some how gotten into the habit of reading lately, than when I was younger. I never liked reading, unless they had pictures! I reckon I am more of a book worm now. What a total transformation.

This book is a 3 book version but in one. Love it!

Untitled

Yesterday, we welcome more hail stones, only that there were more of them, with lightning and thunder, but aside from hail stones, this would be a total normal thing back in my home country, Malaysia. I managed to get a glimpse of what hails felt like, so took my bucket out and back in. It's basically little ice, but really hard. Whoa! An education I have learnt. I feel like a child!

Untitled

Finally, I end my post with my rain boots!

April presents Pt 2

Untitled

Here is my latest update on birthday presents. The first pictured, were birthday cards for my daughter's friends' birthday party. It was a party for two and presents were not requested, however, I still felt slightly guilty for not giving any presents!! So, a quick making today I suppose?!

Untitled

The second present was for one of my best, dearest friend, Victoria. I love the wrapping paper that I bought two rolls and used the other for my book, pictures in the next post after this.

So, here ends April presents Pt 2, more to come! I did wrap one for Victoria's husband Jerome, but I did not take a photo of it. Oh darn, but never mind.

Lately...

Singing the blues and greens

Untitled

Lately, Instagram has been my next best thing! Although, I still love using my camera most of the time to take photographs. Sometimes, when I load pictures from my camera, I'd transfer via email to my phone and edit there! I love how technology works! Especially, the creative side of it.

Anyway these are some of my most recent works and one, which was made a year and a half ago!

Enjoy!
